Mala Hotpot Ximen Store
On a quick trip to Taiwan (R.O.C.), on the second to the last night. We decided to try Mala Hot Pot before we left Taiwan. We were in the area, so why not.
Upon entering we thought we would be experiencing the long wait we have here in the Philippines since most Filipinos make “sulit” or “to get more than their money’s worth”. We waited for just a few minutes then we were seated. The place was kinda dim but the tables were well lighted. After ordering, the meat and other food came in tranches. The presentation was perfect, each type of meat had a label. Well seafood is what you see is what it is.
All the meat was well was well prepared. So was the soup that everything went into. At first we were having problems communicating what we wanted, luckily and thankfully there was a “Filipina” waitress that assisted us.
We were so full that our last order of meat, sad to say, we left and could not eat anymore since we were reserving some space for the unlimited Häagen-Dazs ice cream. Overall food experience was great. If we were to go back to taiwan and stay where we did, we would definitely go back there. The cost (will update this post, still looking for the receipts). was well worth it.
